Aderant, a global leader in business management software for the legal sector, has successfully transformed how its 38-person Cloud Engineering team supports Expert Sierra, its flagship cloud-based legal practice management solution. By implementing Amazon Quick, Aderant has streamlined documentation processes and empowered its engineers to deliver faster, more responsive support to clients relying on their platform for daily legal operations.
The primary challenge faced by Aderant’s Cloud Operations team was information fragmentation. Vital data was scattered across six disconnected systems, forcing engineers to navigate multiple dashboards to find specific answers. This friction resulted in manual searches taking between 30 to 45 minutes per task, significantly hindering troubleshooting efficiency. With over 200 support tickets daily and a 24/7 global support commitment, these delays impacted productivity. Engineers spent more time hunting for data than resolving technical issues, risking the loss of critical context hidden within siloed documentation.
In October 2025, Aderant deployed Quick, starting with a pilot of the CloudOps Helper bot. The rollout was swift, reaching full deployment via a Chrome extension by November 2025. Following this success, a Support Helper bot was launched for the Product Support organization in February 2026, extending capabilities to an additional 86 team members. The CloudOps Helper bot serves as a centralized AI-powered search hub, allowing engineers to use natural language queries to retrieve information from Confluence, SharePoint, Git repositories, Jira tickets, Teams conversations, and QuickSight dashboards through a single interface.
A key technical highlight was the integration of six major systems and three MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers using pre-built connectors. This approach allowed the team to become operational within weeks rather than months of custom development. The platform’s robust security management provided a safe environment for handling sensitive data and managing permissions. As a result, Aderant achieved a 90 percent reduction in search times and a 75 percent acceleration in documentation tasks, setting a new standard for AI-driven operational efficiency.
