On May 6, local time, Elon Musk's brain-computer interface company Neuralink announced it is developing an advanced surgical robot. The robot is being designed with the capability to precisely access any region of the brain.
Neuralink's ultimate objective for this technology is to create a universal neural interface. This interface aims to address and resolve all diseases and conditions that originate in the brain. The company clarified that the device is currently in the research phase and has not yet received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
