Anthropic Employee Uses Claude AI to Build Viral "Spotify Wrapped" Wedding Site from 12 Years of iMessages; Angry Emoji Sparks Online Buzz

Austin Lau, a marketing employee at Anthropic, has potentially established a new benchmark for AI-powered wedding planning. Ahead of his marriage to his long-term partner, Lau employed Anthropic's Claude Code to meticulously analyze 12 years of iMessage conversations between them. Subsequently, he fed this processed data into Claude Design to generate a bespoke wedding website, replete with personalized statistics, charts, and inside jokes.

The resulting website was described as a "Spotify Wrapped for their relationship," offering a comprehensive overview of their digital communication. It highlighted significant metrics such as 161,000 messages exchanged, 8,600 shared photos, almost 28,000 emojis used, and nearly 1,800 "I love you" texts. The site also featured insightful data visualizations, including a chart mapping their texting habits over time, which showed a peak in 2016 during their college years. Another chart indicated that their messaging activity consistently spiked around 9 p.m.

Lau shared his creation on X, where it rapidly garnered over 3 million views. However, the internet's attention largely converged on an unexpected detail: the couple's second most-used emoji over their 12-year communication history was the angry face. This intriguing revelation quickly went viral, sparking widespread discussion among users.
