Anthropic Attracts $800 Billion Valuation Offers Amid Revenue Surge to $30 Billion Annualized Run Rate

Anthropic, a leading AI developer, is reportedly attracting investor offers valuing the company at approximately $800 billion. This figure would more than double its $380 billion valuation from a $30 billion funding round closed just two months ago. The company has, however, so far resisted accepting these new offers, according to Bloomberg.

Even by the standards of the rapidly evolving AI sector, an $800 billion valuation is remarkable. If Anthropic were to raise capital at this valuation, it would rank among the most valuable private companies in history, placing the Claude developer in direct valuation competition with OpenAI. Such a milestone would also mean that a company founded in 2021 has achieved a valuation that took giants like Salesforce two decades and Microsoft three decades to reach.

The driving force behind this colossal valuation is Anthropic's unprecedented revenue trajectory. The company concluded 2024 with approximately $1 billion in annualized revenue. By the end of 2025, this figure had surged to $9 billion. The growth accelerated further into 2026: reaching $14 billion by February, $19 to $20 billion by March, and ultimately crossing the $30 billion annualized revenue mark in early April. This represents an astonishing year-over-year growth of approximately 1,400%.

This rapid expansion has been described as unparalleled in American corporate history. Notably, Claude Code alone generated $2.5 billion in annualized revenue by February 2026, more than doubling its performance since the beginning of the year. This aggressive revenue growth is primarily propelled by extensive enterprise adoption, with Anthropic’s Claude models now embedded in workflows across critical sectors such as finance, legal, healthcare, and software development.

With an annualized revenue of $30 billion and a growth trajectory that continues to impress, an $800 billion valuation implies a roughly 27x revenue multiple. While high by conventional financial measures, this multiple is not considered irrational for a company whose revenue is effectively doubling every few months. The pertinent question for investors is how long this extraordinary growth can be sustained.

Anthropic's valuation history reflects a parabolic curve of rapid appreciation. In March 2025, the company secured $3.5 billion at a $61.5 billion valuation. By its Series F in September 2025, the implied valuation had escalated to $183 billion. In February 2026, Anthropic closed a $30 billion funding round, marking the second-largest venture funding deal ever, at a $380 billion valuation. Now, mere weeks later, investors are proposing offers nearing $800 billion.
