Honor and JD.com have officially signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, establishing an all-encompassing strategic partnership. The two companies aim to build a new cooperative framework covering three core areas: product co-creation, user co-management, and ecosystem sharing, with a target of achieving a cumulative transaction volume exceeding ¥100 billion within three years across all domains.
In product co-creation, Honor and JD.com will engage in deep, full-lifecycle collaboration across various product categories, including smartphones, all-scenario products, AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things), and robotics. This includes accelerating strategic new product launches and jointly developing industry bestsellers. Leveraging their respective strengths, they will collaboratively undertake IP and C2M (Consumer-to-Manufacturer) customization projects to drive industry-level innovation. Furthermore, the partnership will focus on co-creating products for specific user segments, such as delivery riders, couriers, and gamers, by organically combining Honor's hardware and software customization capabilities with JD.com's user insights to develop more scenario-based product differentiations. Both parties will also jointly manage product lifecycles to consistently expand the scope of their collaboration.
For user co-management, Honor and JD.com will integrate their end-to-end marketing capabilities and resources. Through joint membership operations and precise audience targeting, they will aim to deliver enhanced and beyond-expectation user experiences. Concurrently, they will deepen collaboration in key scenarios like e-sports and sports health, exploring further possibilities in data empowerment and advertising innovation.
Regarding ecosystem sharing, Honor and JD.com will broaden their strategic collaboration to explore new growth curves. They will jointly drive AI co-creation and user experience enhancements, leveraging Honor's leading edge-side large model capabilities alongside JD.com's high-quality AI services, JoyAI large model, and JoyInside AI ecosystem. This will enable the co-development of innovative experiences in scenarios such as product recommendations, life services, and financial management. In the robotics and smart hardware ecosystem, JD.com's offline stores will pilot the deployment of Honor robots for customer guidance and traffic generation. Additionally, the partnership will deepen omnichannel and O2O (Online-to-Offline) collaboration to boost instant retail businesses. They will jointly expand into overseas markets, utilizing Honor's terminal products and JD.com's Joybuy platform, while fostering domestic and international logistics and warehousing cooperation, and strengthening ties in technology, finance, and insurance.
As a leading global AI terminal ecosystem company, Honor is committed to expanding industry boundaries through principles of openness, co-creation, and sharing, building a smart ecosystem with partners. This strategic alliance with JD.com is set to enable both companies to target critical business areas, overcome existing limitations, and collectively drive substantial, leapfrog growth for their businesses, ultimately delivering superior products and services to global consumers.
