TCL and Sony Joint Venture Unveils Mid-to-Long Term Strategic Plans

TCL Founder and Chairman Li Dongsheng led a delegation to visit Sony Group on April 30, engaging in comprehensive discussions with Sony Group President and Representative Corporate Executive Officer Hiroki Totoki. The primary focus of their meeting was the future trajectory and development of their established joint venture.

During the meeting, Chairman Li Dongsheng provided an overview of TCL's overall operational performance and the current progress of the joint venture project. He emphasized that the joint venture has formulated preliminary mid-to-long term strategic plans, aiming to ensure its sustainable growth and market competitiveness.

Sony Group President Hiroki Totoki expressed strong confidence in the future prospects of the joint venture. He also shared that the company has received positive feedback from its global sales network and end-customers, underscoring the effectiveness of the partnership and its market potential.

It is understood that TCL Electronics and Sony officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on March 31, 2026, leading to the formation of this joint venture. This entity is responsible for undertaking and operating Sony's global home entertainment business, encompassing key product lines such such as televisions and audio equipment.
