On April 30th, media outlets reported that Jin Wenyi, President of International Business at MiHoYo/HoYoverse, issued an internal letter announcing her departure by the end of May, citing personal career planning as the reason.
MiHoYo confirmed the news, stating their appreciation for Ms. Jin Wenyi's contributions to the global expansion of their products and wishing her success in her future endeavors. Prior to joining MiHoYo, Ms. Jin had worked at game company FunPlus and was instrumental in overseeing MiHoYo's overseas operations.
Seven (Wang Yuyang) is slated to succeed Jin Wenyi and will continue to lead MiHoYo's internationalization efforts. Wang Yuyang brings a strong background, having founded Daguan Culture and previously served as Vice President at Bilibili. Of particular note, Wang Yuyang also joined an AI company established by MiHoYo co-founder Cai Haoyu earlier in 2024.
