ByteDance has officially announced the release of Seed3D 2.0, its next-generation high-precision 3D generative large model. This model represents a significant advancement in the field of 3D content generation, aiming to deliver richer details and more accurate material representation.
According to ByteDance, a key innovation of Seed3D 2.0 lies in its adoption of the advanced Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture. By implementing sparse expert routing, the model effectively manages inference computation while simultaneously expanding its parameter count and increasing generation resolution. This architectural design enables Seed3D 2.0 to produce 3D objects with significantly richer texture details and achieve more precise metal-roughness boundaries, which are crucial for high-quality Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials.
The technical report for Seed3D 2.0 is now publicly available, and its API has been officially launched on VolcEngine. This allows developers and enterprises to integrate and utilize the model, thereby accelerating 3D content production workflows and fostering innovative application development.
